Within Corporate Treasury, the Senior Financial and Banking Analyst is a business-critical position. This role is responsible for managing the organisation’s banking function and service level agreements with transactional bankers and related service provider contracts. You will serve as the primary point of contact for critical systems issues that have the potential to impact the organisation’s ability to process payroll and accounts payable.

As a senior member of the team, you will act as a trusted advisor, using analytical thinking to propose clear solutions that support informed decision-making at a senior level, including for the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Treasurer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and manage banking-related contracts, projects, and relationships to ensure the delivery of the organisation's current and future needs.

  • Critical Incident Management: Resolve high-impact incidents and problem-solve issues to ensure continued, optimal service delivery.

  • Project Leadership: Assist in leading banking and financial projects, such as software upgrades and ensuring compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.

  • Strategic Advisory: Support the Corporate Treasurer by evaluating banking-related opportunities and providing recommendations to achieve favourable outcomes.

  • Technical Development: Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the rapidly changing banking environment and develop specialised banking skills to support projects and business-as-usual activities.

What You Bring to the Team

While a formal background in accounting is not required, the successful candidate will demonstrate senior-level accountability and a high degree of technical curiosity.

  • Project & Task Agility: Proven ability to pivot between different tasks and deliverables to enable stakeholders to meet deadlines.

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Ability to take ownership of complex banking tasks and initiatives to deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision.

  • Communication & Engagement: Exceptional skills in building relationships with key stakeholders to jointly evolve options that provide the best value for customers.

  • Learning & Innovation: A strong desire to develop specialised banking knowledge and understand internal systems, even if you do not have prior banking experience.
